For the final assignment of the semester, we created brochures of what it's like to be a MCSM student. Publisher has a variety of brochure options that you can choose from. I made my brochure have my school schedule, with each class included. I also added pictures that relate to each class and a brief description of each one. I followed the format of this brochure and made it exactly like this.
In this showcase assignment, we had to use photoshop to create a room. The room had to be set up with corners to make it look realistic by using the ruler measurements. Then, I added layer styles to make the gray color in the room and shadows stand out. The next thing I did was create ellipse shapes on the ceiling to make the lights. There are exactly 3 ellipses on the ceiling. When that was done, I created layers for each ellipse to make the light from the ellipses. I had to use the poly-lasso to make the shape of the lights. Finally, I added three pictures of myself in different positions (front, back and side). Overall, my showcase is of me, directly under the lights.

For assignment number 25, we had to create a power button using Photoshop. To begin, I had to start by making a circle shape using the ellipse tool. Then, I added the gradient colors to it to be able to add the power symbol. When that was done I had to create two groups of the layers I had, one for the glow and one that was normal. I began to change the layer styles for the glowing group by adding the green color effects. Finally, I made the glowing animation. To do this, I opened the animation window to be able to activate the duplication of the original and the colored one & also change the time in which the animation starts. The final result led me to this gif of my power button. A gif is basically an image file that has animation in it. This is different from a jpeg because of how a gif plays the image's movement. For example, a jpeg of the power button would not show it lighting up, while a gif does.

In this assignment, we had to build a gingerbread house from scratch using a picture of a real gingerbread house as an example. I began by making the house out of a rectangle and a square, and pulling them to make it look 3D. Then, I began to make the little shapes that would design the house around, such as the gumdrops and the candy canes. As I made each item, I pulled it out as well to make it look 3D. I used the line and freehand tools to make most of the shapes, and the canvas to fill them in with color. Since its a gingerbread house, I used mainly red and green for the shapes. In the end, the final result came out like this. I used the Iso view to show the front, back and the sides properly.

#22 blocks 7-12
These blocks were a follow up from the first 6. I used the same tools from before, like the push/pull, the measuring tape to make the guide lines and the rectangle tool. I made sure each block was a certain height and width. For example, block #7 is 8x5x6. Block #8 is 9x5x7. Block 9 is 9x5x6. Block #10 is 11x3x6. Block #11 is 8x5x6. Block #12 is 9x4x6. I also used the canvas tool to color in the blocks, according to their slopes and platforms. Creating some of these blocks was hard, especially in getting the precise measurements. The final result was this.

#22 blocks 1-6
For assignment #22, we had to create blocks with their precise dimensions. As we made more and more blocks, each got a bit more complicated to make. To do this, we had to start off by creating a rectangle to work from. I used the measuring tool to see how wide and tall the block needed to be. The push and pull tool was very important here because of how in some blocks needed parts taken away or moved. Block #1 is 8x5x5. Block #2 is 8x5x5. Block #3 is 9x4x6. Block #4 is 7x6x4. Block #5 is 8x5x5. Block #6 is 8x5x6.
